German Courses
Our courses focus on enabling you to communicate in every day situations in German. At the same time you develop the four important language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, thus ensuring a solid basis for further learning and growing proficiency.
Blended Learning: semi-intensive courses - a motivating way to make progress
You study German at your own pace, so that responsibility for your progress lies in your own hands.
I offer a supportive and motivating approach to learning German, which is in three parts:
- Speaking practice in small groups in the classroom.
Thursdays 9 to 10.30 am
- Instructor-supported e-learning, in the classroom, using selected on-line or DVD-based material to suit your proficiency level.
There are two time windows each week:
Tuesdays 9 to 11am or
Tuesdays 11am to 1pm
- Work at home: e-learning and vocabulary training using your computer, and developing your writing skills.
Depending on your proficiency level, I will recommend an e-learning program to suit you, either online or on a DVD.
If you are a beginner you will attend an introductory course, instead of the Thursday speaking practice.
The flexibility of the "blended learning" approach means that you can start a course whenever it suits you. You are welcome to come by for one e-learning session for free, to see how you like it.
When you register you schedule a course of 10 weeks, which is then fixed, and can be renewed any time.
The fee for a 10-week course is CHF750 (beginners CHF950), payable after registration. The cost of the on-line, or DVD-based, e-learning material is not included.
You will need your laptop, (Windows or Mac), and a headset with earphones and a microphone.
Please contact me using the contact form to arrange a free trial e-learning session.
